Dr. Kim, a specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic pain, performs a wide array of interventional procedures. These include epidural and selective nerve root blocks, SI and facet joint injections, RF neuroablations, laser discectomy, trigger point injections, lysis of adhesions, and peripheral and spinal cord stimulator implants. Dr. Kim earned his medical degree from Chicago Medical School. He completed a surgery residency at LAC-USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, followed by an anesthesiology residency and fellowship at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. He has been a clinical instructor at UCLA School of Medicine, and an attending physician at California Pain Medicine Center at UCLA where he specialized in research and treatment of RSD and both non-surgical and minimally invasive surgical treatment of the spine. He holds memberships in the American Medical Association and International Anesthesia Research Society. He is fluent in Korean.
